On the 6th April I posted a collage of pictures of our day out. One of the pictures was of the plants we bought at a garden centre, including this Monkey Puzzle Tree. Chris kindly planted it in this lovely pot and it looks much more impressive now. It measures 27.5 cms or 11 inches to my friends in the US. I'll measure it again and take another picture a year from now.
@nickspicsnz@gilbertwood@nickspicsnz@gilbertwood Yes they do grow HUGE but they grow slowly (I think!!). If we put this small plant straight in the ground it would get overgrown and it would be difficult to nurture it. I think they're ok in containers for quite a few years as long as you re-pot them from time to time. We'll see!! I suspect our grandchildren will get to appreciate it as it gets bigger rather than us.
