This is an 18th Century Welsh gentry estate. The villa was designed in the 1790's and is the most complete example of the early work of John Nash. Llanerchaeron is a traditional rural estate which was in the same family for 10 generations. It survived virtually unaltered and was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1989. It has it's own service courtyard with dairy, laundry, brewing and salting houses and a walled kitchen garden. There is also an ornamental lake and a working farm with an old fashioned farmyard. It's a really interesting place to visit. It's near the coast about an hour from us. I will post more photos because I took such a lot.
