I was saving £2 coins for a holiday, an 'extra' one with my friend Nicola. The holiday was supposed to be in February last year but we postponed it because of the uncertainty with the date for my hip replacement. However, we're going on the 8th February this year.........to Abu Dhabi!! In the meantime I've filled my money box again. This will be my pocket money. I've never been anywhere like this before. It's not my usual sort of holiday destination and I'll be way out of my comfort zone but I'm VERY excited. Nicola's husband lives and works there and Nicola half lives there and has been trying to persuade me to go there for a long time.
@barneyone Thank you Rita. It will be a very different sort of photography for me. I've even bought a polarising filter to help me cope with the bright sunshine.

Oh Sue, I do the same thing - throw $2 coins in a money box for that "extra" holiday! Never thought to photograph it like this though - I love it :) Have a wonderful time in Abu Dhabi - it is so wonderful that your friend lives there so you will see many interesting places that the average tourist doesn't.
