I am sure you will settle in nicely. David's mother's family were farmers in and around Hay on Wye way back. They owned various farms around Hay, Clifford and Archenfield.
@happypat Thank you Pat. This house is perfect for us, much smaller and a new build so as you say, low maintenance. We have 2 spare bedrooms so we can accommodate the grandchildren and their parents one family at a time.
@gijsje Thank you Bep. This house is 40 miles from Kilsby and takes exactly an hour to drive here. It’s not that far really so we can keep the things we want from the old life like friends, our favourite garden centre, my hairdresser but at the same time enjoy a new life. The climate is much better here, less rain, more sun.
@aglennc Thank you Anita, I think we’re going to be happy here. Although I enjoyed doing the B and B, especially meeting interesting people, I don’t miss it at all. It was time to move on. We’ll keep the good friends we made.
@foxes37 Thank you Lis. This house is much smaller but perfect for us and we have two spare bedrooms to accommodate grandchildren and their parents AND FRIENDS. I hope you and Rog will see the house for yourselves before too long.
@susiemc yes that sounds just right, have to have room for family! It look lovely, wish we could get sorted as quickly! We have to have room for a tractor & lots of grass apparently! 🙄
