We went back to Sandringham, the Queen's country residence, on a quieter day (see https://365project.org/susiemc/album-1-year-5/2019-06-29 It was difficult to get a photo of the house because I had the same problem as lis@foxes37 at Oxburgh Hall https://365project.org/foxes37/365/2019-06-29 i.e. scaffolding!!
Sandringham is where the Queen spends Christmas, She stays there for about 7 weeks. During the summer months the house and gardens are open to the public. I bought a ticket which allowed me in the house and gardens but Chris just paid to go in the gardens. Royalty is not his thing. The house was lovely inside, light, airy, warm and welcoming. Needless to say photos were not allowed.
nice shot - those links won't work because you caught ). in the end of the first one and , in the end of the second. I removed them manually could follow the links, so if you edit and remove them it will all work fine :)
I remember when we went quite a few years ago we never actually got to see the house at all so it’s good you managed to take this shot! Looks a lovely place!
@happypat We did get to walk much closer to the house, across the front in fact but the scaffolding made it impossible to take a photo of the whole house. It is lovely though.
Beautiful shot, view and composition. I am not a lover of royalty but wouldn't have missed the chance of going inside and have a look around. Didn't you sneak a few shots - I would have?
