Pretty Pink Lacecap Hydrangea ..........

...........except it was blue when we bought it a couple of years ago ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
So pretty , this does happen depending on the soil acidity - I bought a blue lace cap some years ago and it changed to a pink one ( I wonder if the nurseries treat them to produce blue to sell !! )- Alas this year Gary had to pull it up as it has seen its best days - gone all woody and the frost got it !!

Mine too! I guess we have to amend our soil somehow if we want to get the blue back, but the pink is so pretty too.

@beryl @gardencat @merrelyn Thank you for your comments. I think Beryl is probably right about nurseries treating the soil to create that lovely bright blue. If our blue lacecap really wants to be pink then I think weโ€™ll let it be. It is pretty. We do have another blue one, which I posted a few days ago, which is in another part of the garden. Weโ€™ll see how that goes.
