I went for a walk today with my walking buddy, Nicola. This walk was on Nicola's patch, just outside Brecon. We followed the Usk valley and at one point we came across this pretty stream. A few minutes later we took a wrong turn and ended up walking 7 miles instead of 5 miles (our usual distance). Although I'm now exhausted it was a lovely walk and the weather was kind. It started to drizzle when I got home. It's so nice to be out in the fresh air doing normal things. We even found a kiosk selling tea when we got back to Brecon where we'd parked our cars.
Oh. Looks so nice. Yes trying get back to normal a bit here ..but with John shielding..then the baby and another granchild due in 6 weeks ..we been in this strange bubble.. now it feels it scary getting out. But need too! .missing the run through Wales to the coast too
So lovely but I’m fascinated by the bridge that isn’t spanning the stream? I bet you were glad to see the car...you were lucky to get away with only two extra miles!
@happypat Yes it fascinated me too Pat. I can only think that originally there was more of it and it went across this stream. It was all private land so we couldn’t get any closer to investigate. I was VERY glad to see the car! The one saving grace was that we were following the floor of the Usk valley so we weren’t going up and down hills.
