Each year Emily's skirt gets shorter and her legs get longer:). She is now 14 (nearly 15) and starting in year 10. I suspect that once she gets to school the waistband is rolled down and the skirt gets longer. Apparently she does wear shorts under the skirt.

This reminded me of a friend of mine at school.. she was in constant battle with our Form teacher (who was also our sewing teacher) every day she pulled down Joye's hem and every night Joye put it back up.. Joye became a very good hand sewer..
HA, when I first saw it I thought it was her gym outfit. Then I remembered way back, even in my high school days, the constant battle waged between the rolled waste and the nuns.
