Punts and Pedalos in Oxford

On Wednesday I went to Oxford with my U3A group. It was wonderful (I've never been to Oxford before). It was like stepping into another world and back in time. The main purpose of my group's visit was to go to the Botanical Gardens and then to the gardens in Magdalen College. This photo was taken from the Botanical gardens. The River Cherwell runs alongside the Botanical Gardens and through Magdalen College.

@gardencat Yes Joanne it is. We did see some punts in use but I guess it was a quiet day.

So many canoes stacked there. Great shot. Have been to Oxford many times but if I were to count all the vessels I saw on the river They wouldn't amount to those in this one shot.
