We always had lots of beautiful fuchsias in the garden at the old house. The climate there seemed to really suit them. Here in Herefordshire the climate suits me better ( much sunnier, warmer and drier :)) but not the fuchsias. We planted them as we always have done but they haven't done well. Although they've been well watered I think it's just been too hot for them. I found this one this afternoon which I thought was worthy of a photo. It's the first fuchsia photo I've taken this year and I usually take loads.
A beautiful fuchsia and I should know its name - I used to have this one . The outdoor "old faithful " is coming to flower just now - but the ones I bought this year have not faired well at all ! - too hat and dry in spite of watering !
They look gorgeous. I tried to raise one in a pot once but our climate is much more hot and it didn't survive a whole season besides producing a couple of tiny flowers.
