After yesterdays rather grumpy reception, the little Robin was singing his heart out for me today.
I followed the beautiful song and I kind of spotted him right at the top of the holly tree.
My eyesight isn't the best and to be honest I wasn't sure if it was him or a bunch of berries I was pointing the camera at, but I took a few shots and hoped for the best.
Imagine my delight, not only was I on target, but I had actually caught him in mid chorus.
@peadar Haha, you make me smile,☺️ stop spoiling the illusion Peter! I actually didn't realise the song was to scare everyone else off, but I know they are hugely territorial. In their defence, I have never seen any actual aggression and all the birds do seem to live quite harmoniously together around here. Maybe they wait until my back is turned or I don't have the camera in hand :)
There's nothing quite like the liquid notes of a Robin's song. It's turning into the more soulful winter version at the moment... beautiful. You've caught him in mid flow telling the whole garden that he's in residence. I think photography is largely luck for most of us if we're honest!
