After a busy day helping my son and daughter in law move house, and having no time to take any photos, I decided to have a play with the holly shots from yesterday.
The plan was to have them as planets and call it Planet Hollywood but with it been the season I decided to make them baubles instead.
@elkereturns Thank you! I'm fairly new to editing so I'm sure there are easier ways, but I did it pretty much like this. I work in gimp 2.8 (which is free) and mapped the images to a sphere with a transparent background. I then scaled some of them down and moved them around.and added the black background.
I then added the bauble top and string from a stock mage, this wasn't cut out very well so to add some glare to disguise it I added a glowing detail effect in topaz studio (another free tool) It took me a fair while but I had so much fun doing it! I used this tutorial a while ago on my image on 26th October and I referred back to refresh my memory!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zu-3AC43kWU
