The unwanted blue duck by suzanne234

The unwanted blue duck

When my son was 28 he finally got a mortgage and his own home. He left behind his blue Ted Baker rubber duck, he was far too grown up to have such nonsense in his own home.
I quite like the blue duck, I'm obviously not very grown up.

Thank you so much for your lovely response to my mini citrus theme in a theme, I was so very chuffed with your kind comments
Oh you do make me laugh! Nice composition too:)

Lovely composition. I nearly did a blue duck today, we have one that lives here, but is for grandchild amusement, maybe next week.

HaHa! Fun shot ;-)

He knew you couldn't bear to be parted from it. Think of it as a sacrifice on his part ;-)

Funny shot. He will take it in a few more years.

What a cute duckie. You best save it because one day he will be calling you up to find out where it is.

Please keep the duck. I am sure your son will be grown up enough to want him back again one day.

We do like to hang on to the things our kids thought were special... well, I know I do too. Keep it for when the grandkids come to stay :)

A lovely shot of ducky in the bubble bath. Puts an instant smile on the face ;-)

Big smiles from this cute shot and your narrative to go with it. I like that bubbles that the duck is enjoying too. I still have my children's yellow rubber ducks.

Great idea for your rainbow blue shot and perfect with the bubbles! :-)

Haa - I love it - who wants to grow up completely anyway. And your little blue duck had a yellow cousin who made the news over here. It was approx. 6metres high and was accompanying a group of swimmers in the ocean in W.Aust - a big gust of wind hit him and he sailed away into the great unknown - last seen heading for Geraldton!! :)

Very cute little fellow, love all the bubbles :)

haha, do you still take the dummy, too. Great shot and clarity.

Cute! My DIL loved rubber duckies and had a nice collection in her bathroom while in college. So, for the birth of my first grandchild I threw a baby shower with yellow rubber duckies as the theme. It came out quite lovely and wonderful. Fond memories...

This is such a cute and fun shot and I love all the bubbles.

Cute shot šŸ‘

I loved reading your narrative for this. Rings a familiar bell as far as my youngest is concerned. These little ducks seemed to be must have accessories for the young man a few years ago, which I always thought strange, but endearing. Great for your blue shot.

I love this!
