We visited Hodsock Priory today which opens their gardens a few weekends a year for the snowdrops and bluebells.
We didn't get to the snowdrops weekend, it was when we had the heavy snow fall, but it was a delight to walk round the woods and gardens for the bluebells open day. The weather could have been brighter, but it was dry and a great way to clear the cobwebs on a Sunday morning
This is a beautiful image of spring. I have a soft spot for bluebell woods, since in my youth I lived very close to a silver birch wood which was carpeted in bluebells every spring.
