I have no idea what allium this is but its huge. I've only got the one and keep meaning to buy some more to keep it company.
I took a shot of it way back in July when I first got my camera, it's not the best but it does give an idea of its size. I've left this one sooc, I thought it was fine as it is, quite straight for me too :)

Have just looked at your original shot last year - have never ever seen one that size before. That is a show stopper! This is a lovely shot with the flowers struggling to see the daylight:)
Beautifully captured! Such an interesting flower and excellent timing to capture it right now as the blooms are beginning to emerge. I suppose I had "emerge" on my mind after reading Graham's comment. Thanks for including the link to your previous photo . . . you're right, it's HUGE! :-)
great to see it at this stage before it bursts out to fill the frame. I love how you have captured it with that one fine bit of flower leading the way.
