Not great quality, this nesting swan is on a private lake but I was able to take this shot from the road.
I've never seen a swans nest before, this was huge, but what I really like about it was that it was surrounded by a circle of bulrushes, almost like a pavilion.

Their nests are always very substantial and they stick around them even after the little ones have hatched. If you time your visit right, you will see them get up and turn the eggs which is always a delight. It is a lovely photo Suzanne, the framing of the leaves giving the swan and her nest the feeling of privacy.
