Now some people seem to think us pirates are a bit scary with our flintlocks, cutlasses and cannons. Others find vikings, or hell's angels a bit intimidating....... but let me tell you, nothing sends a shudder of abject terror down my spine like the Wadebridge ladies bowls team. They are like the four bowlers of the Apocalypse. The can reduce a man to ashes with just one of their withering looks....... and their tongues are sharper than a surgeons scalpel.
No one messes with this lot if they know what's good for them.
