During the endless Covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions on live music, us Pirates of St. Piran were unable to perform live for the best part of two years. Which has meant we have been unable to raise money for our local charities.
However over the past couple of months we have managed to perform at quite a few open air gigs and the money has started rolling in again. In recent months we have donated £1,000 to The RNLI, £1,000 to Children's Hospice Southwest and £1,000 to the Cornwall Air Ambulance service.
In fact over recent years we have raised Almost £80,000 for local charities. The air ambulance service have even put our name on the side of their new helicopter as a thank you for all the money we have raised for them.
It is just so great to be out and performing in public again.
must find more places to loot and plunder to raise more money for the charities. you guys have great hearts and souls while doing what you love best. kudos! and continue the good work.
