I hope everyone likes shots of fishing boats and harbour views as I run a shop in Mevagissey Cornwall, so this is where I spend most of my days. I should also warn you that there may be seagulls and a lighthouse or too.
Thank you to everyone who has left nice comments and stars over the last few days. Also thank you to all those new followers. it is all very much appreciated. I've not been on 365 project very long and you guys have all been very friendly and welcoming..... not to mention inspiring. It's a great place to be.
What an amazing looking place.....so much to see in this shot, my eyes are darting all over it tring to take it all in.....you must be spoilt for choice on what to take pictures of if this is what you look out on most days.
I'm so happy to be doing 365 too.......I hafta say it's quite literally made an impact on my life.
The peeps in here with us are genuine and lovely and this project isn't all self absorbed like most social networking sites.
Used to holiday in Mevagissey when the children were young, used to love going down to the harbour and listen to the Mevagissey Male Choir, Thanks for bringing back the good old times...
Stunning photo and love all the busy things in it!! I especially like the curve of the hill all the homes and businesses are on. Lots of great colors and details!! FAV!! Can't wait for the light houses!!!
@geeish1488 Thank you. We have had a shop here for 13 years now and never get bored with the views. Prior to coming 365 Project I spent 3 years on a similar site (Blipfoto) but have to say that 365 Project is better in a lot of ways. More friendly. Blipfoto was a bit too keen on petty rules and restrictions. I have found. Also 365 project has a more international feel to it. I love seeing pictures from all over the world. I'm glad I made the move.
@pusspup Glad to hear it. We are in the shop 7 days a week in the busy summer tourist season, so I don't get much chance to photograph anything else in the summer. :)
Sadly we are little way back from the harbour so have to go for a walk to see the views. But there is an advange to that...... We don't get flooded like they do down on the harbourside. :)
Mevagissey is a very, very special place to me and I visit often. Spent most of my childhood holidays there as my dads twin lived there and worked for china clay. He was murdered in Shilly Alley, Mev, about 14 years ago and his ashes were scattered from the lifeboat, just outside the harbour mouth. As I child, I referred to Mev as 'falling off the edges', as Mick would drive teasing close to the edge whilst I squealed in the back! haha :)
I've been looking at your photos on the New Faces page, now I just have to comment! I commented on your ferns at Heligan and this is another gorgeous photo. Like many others I have memories of childhood holidays here....fave and follow!
@Cherrill I used to come on holiday to Cornwall from when I was kid. I then started bringing my kids on holiday here. So eventually I just gave in and moved here. Never regretted the move for a moment. :)

He's not joking peeps, he has his obsessions, just like me.
Just a wee query. Can you back blip to dates before you started, as we could in blip?
