With no rain in sight, I couldn't do my tag challenge as I'd picked rain+light. I'm now feeling a little guilty as I'd been wishing for rain. My wish came true but sadly, I should have wished specifically for a little light rain. Instead we had strong winds (blew over our umbrella in its hundred pound stand), heavy rain creating floods throughout the city (and drowning our four rooftop plants), and impressive lightning and thunder, scaring dogs and little kids everywhere. While my students took their mid-class break, I ran outside to capture rain and light. This is the small plaza in front of our building -- it looks best when it's glowing in the rain. And in my extras album is a capture of the heavy downpour - http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2013-09-18.
I looked at this normal size and thought, it's ok, but no big deal. I then looked at it large and nearly fell of my chair. It is fantastic, brilliant colours, reflections, light, lines. I've given you quite a lot of faves recently I think, but this will have to be another.
@seanoneill Thanks Sean! That's an enthusiastic response -- and never too many fav's of course! @kimshots What's worse, I timed it so that the rain would have started and I could get a shot!
@wind_of_the_sothern_sea@colie Thanks Arefin and Colie, for commenting on my shots today! I've read your comments on each, but won't go back and do individual thanks as I'm sure you have enough to do! But know that I really appreciated them!
@cathrinemitch You have made my night!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comments and your fav for this photo and the others you looked at tonight. It makes me feel so good to know you think these are 'quality.' I know what it means to take the time to catch up and appreciate the time you put into my album!
