A Sea of Tulips by taffy

A Sea of Tulips

From the Macy's Flower Show and then processed in SnapArt for the impressionist feel. I've been away from flowers for awhile, but with this long winter (and long week), they felt so cheerful.
P3 posted earlier today for Rainbow theme for the Toy Group. Join in that fun if you can!

@sailingmusic Thanks Myrna. It's a plug-in called SnapArt by a company called Alien. I thought it a little pricey but in the end, it allows me to have fun playing with art types of processing as it gives you a bunch of presets and then sliders to adjust in ways that you want to. Since I have no eye-hand coordination, it's the closest I can come to painting!

@maggiemae I posted some of the actual tulips on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/taffyraphael/16990636706/ and https://www.flickr.com/photos/taffyraphael/17016620115/in/photostream/
But then decided to have a bit of fun with SnapArt to turn it into an oil painting. I decided to blur it just 'because' -- as if the painter had a Monet-like approach I guess.

@pamknowler Thanks Pam -- I just posted the newest version...combining the saturations. I the Flickr gives a better sense of the photos as their resolution seems higher quality than on 365. Been thinking of you!
April 3rd, 2015
@taffy yes the photos on Flickr are always much better quality than 365. We are ok taking each day as it comes. Both not sleeping all that well as it seems hard to switch your brain off! This week is the start for both of us so fingers crossed!
