Friends are visiting for a few days following our profession's large research conference and some related meetings. They decided I needed something new to wear for an upcoming event and provided a lot of consultation. We thought marking the occasion with a selfie in the mirror made a great deal of sense. Since I never do selfies, this was a really hard shot to actually post! Thanks for your lovely comments on yet another 'view from the rooftop' shot. Very kind that no one said, 'oh yeah, another one' which I very much appreciate!
Will be busy through the weekend with one more day with friends, then several full days of meetings. Trying to peek in now and then.

@panthora Thanks Osia. To my right is my friend since grad school who lives in Hawaii. The other two are friends from nearly that long but from other grad programs.
Lovely shot Taffy! Great capture of you all smiling! Looks like you are having fun! I love it when you can get together with old friends and you just take up as if it was yesterday you last saw them! That really is a true friend!
Nice dress but I have to ask are you like my friend. When we go shopping for something new for her we usually buy another pair of black slacks which she spends time finding. I tease her mercilessly about this. I am always pulling out something bright and colorful and suggesting it for her. I'm thinking I have only seen you (the rare times I have at all) in dark clothing. LOL Now me I like the lady in red.

What fun you all seem to be having! Isn't it a delightful moment when you decide, "We need a photo of this!"? Lovely to see you out from behind the camera! You've been very coy about which of the two on your left is "BMT from Montana"! Her photos are fabulous and I've signed on to follow. I'd love to see your other friend also post photos from Hawaii! Though I'm not at all surprised, it speaks well for you that you have friends of such long standing! Terrific photo!
@Weezilou thanks , Louise! BMT is in red. She really is an oil painter inow that she retired,and uses photos as her base. I love where she lives and her views!
You should not be shy about being in front of the camera- you look great! All of you look great. But I understand about the selfies. It's been tough with the photo class- the kids take pictures of us all the time! Fun shot!

@mara19500 So nice to hear from you! I hope you are well! I'm glad you liked the dress -- have already worn it twice, so 'cost per wear' is coming down nicely! No, not Junko, but my good friend who lives in Hawaii -- we've known each other since grad school and she's part of our 'travel group' that also includes Junko and her husband.
