While in St Louis, I had the good fortune to photograph with @rosiekerr who had promised we'd see the Cathedral. It's hard to convey just how amazing this building is and next to impossible to capture the whole. So here is my next installment following the one of its pews. This is one small aisle on the side of the alter. There were, several of these, each with their own unique designs and color tones.
BTW, I'm hosting the March-town2016 theme this month so think about posting an image that captures your community -- an iconic structure, a sense of community life...see the announcement at http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/27367/announcing-march-town-2016-competition
I enjoy the "small" irony here. :) What a lovely shot. It is so interesting to see how your "eye" sees this building, which is so familiar to me, in a very different way from mine. What fun! Thanks for the reminder about the March "town" theme, too. Easy fav.
Having visited here I understand your conversation with @rosiekerr , it is a remarkable space to try and capture, but fun to do at the same time. Love how b&w really shows off the tones and details of the mosaic work!
