Out of the Darkness, Into the Light by taffy

Out of the Darkness, Into the Light

Yay - taxes are now with accountant. Celebrated by stopping at Botanic Garden on my way back home. The sun even came out while I was there (on an otherwise dreary day). I loved the pattern this little duck was making in the large pond in the Japanese Garden. Wishing all a photo-filled weekend!
Must have been a windy day to get such a big pattern! It looks like a wooden washboard design.

Looks like a speedboat wake! Cool
April 2nd, 2016
@jyokota It was really very still -- this was the only pattern with the duck creating a perfect 'v' and the rest of the lake like glass. Strange, I thought.

It looks like he is jet propelled! Lovely image! Thankfully since retirement as long as my circumstances don't change I no longer have to do a tax return! Such a relief as it was one of those jobs I hated! Fav for your beautiful Image!

That is some wake for a serene little duck - I guess the old adage about serene above the water whilst paddling like blazes below may well be true. Nice one Taffy.

I love this Taffy, what an eye and what a capture. This is awesome. And congrats on taxes turned in - it's one of my biggest stressors any given year and I feel good once it's all sorted out!
April 3rd, 2016
nicely spotted... it is lovely!
April 3rd, 2016
@gamelee Haha! I don't know PS well enough to use layers and create this. What caught my eye was the wake, and then I did a double-take when I saw the tiny duck at the vortex. I took about 15 photos of it as it went across the lake and between two huge rocks. I ended up liking this one since it was so open with the lake. Thanks for the visit!

It's the stillness of the water contrasting with the ripples of the wake that makes it such a eye-catching shot for me. Fav.
