This desolate area was in such contrast to the other terrain we had photographed. All black lava with the river and falls cutting its unrelenting path.
See Junko's closeup of the falls here: https://365project.org/jyokota/365/2017-03-31

Thanks for your wonderful support as always. I'm flattered by your response to the car light photobomb of the northern lights! You've made me quite glad that car showed up when it did.
A beautiful shot. I really liked your Flickr version, too... the colors and textures were clearer there, but the water seems to have a smoother flow here. So fun, to see them both!
I prefer this one to the colour version. Just the fact that you can see the ice on the mountains in the background gives you an appreciate of where this flow of water is coming from.
What a sparse landscape, not a place to get stuck overnight! It looks hard to walk on too with the very rocky floor. Love the way you have the water smoothed out. It makes it look like liquid cloud.
I am following your Icelandic photos with great interest. I visited Iceland in June couple of years ago and the scenery was definitely different and maybe more friendly with long days, very short nights and warm weather.
Fantastic landscape Taffy capturing the rugged terrain cut through by the fast flowing water. Wonderful glimpse of the mountains in the distance!! Fav!!
This is really excellent on black. It's almost as if the stormy sky in the background is causing the flow in the foreground.
I like the silky effect from the long exposure
I prefer this to the color version, and it is not because I am a b&w lover. For me I prefer the crop on this with the mountains in the background, it gives the eye somewhere to travel, in contrast to the tight crop of the color version.
Another stunning shot. I love the way I am drawn right into the image and then I see the mountains on the horizon. The drama of the landscape so brilliantly highlighted.
