We are back on Beaver Island and plan to have this as our base through October. We were driving by Barney's Lake where wild irises are blooming along the shore and Jim stopped so I could get a photo of one. As I walked over, this fellow hopped in front of me. When I tiptoed around to take his portrait, he hid in the grasses and stared at me -- I think he figured I wouldn't be able to see him, as he held as still as can be staring right back into my camera!
It's nice to hold my camera again and take/process a photo -- life has gotten in the way and photography sadly has had to take a back seat. I'm hoping to be caught up and back to normal by mid-week.
Nice to see you back. I had just noticed this morning that I hadn't seen anything pop up from you for a while. So we are in for a change of scene for a while. this fellow is rather endearing - I like the way the grass falls around him and tha you have him head on. Love his colouring too.
@lesip Thanks! No, renters leave at the end of July, and the demolition of the kitchen starts on August 1! Flooring will take 3 weeks and kitchen 4 or so. But now that we are on Beaver Island, all is good!
