Working again on Oregon photos. With the many photos we've posted of the overall look of Crater Lake, I turned to a few that showed details of each of the mountains, bluffs, and mesas that comprise the scene. This was, by far, my favorite formation. The colors reminded me of Artists Palette in Death Valley, where colors begin to come out as the sun's angle shifts as it sets. This particular image was taken using my iPhone from the boat @rosiekerr and I had taken around the lake. The sun's angle was a perfect as could be as we headed back to the dock where we'd started.
@joysabin We were fortunate that the entire rim road was open and we had 3 days in the park, so we had a pretty thorough opportunity to spend time at key sights and also do a little hiking as well as the boat trip to Wizard Island.
I am astounded that you get such detail of the rock formation and produce something as artistic looking and colourful and real looking all at the same time. Fully admiring of your skill - as always.
