Today's temperature is a drop of about 40 degrees since Monday so not appealing to be out and about walking around. But, fortunately, I'd made plans to meet a friend at a new restaurant across from Millennium Park and I brought my camera along. It ended up being quite beautiful once the rain stopped and a pretty spot for watching the light change from golden to blue to night sky.
Really like this perspective, which I have never been able to come close to, since I have not stayed in a hotel right on Michigan ave, across the street, or know where I can get a similar shot from an open office building. Very nice.
@ggshearron Now you have easy access -- go to Cindy's in the former Chicago Athletic Association (same building as Shake Shack), and you can just casually walk through to the deck to take the shot, or order a drink and sit out there.
That green patch just leaps out from the blue and orange surrounds. It's so interesting to see the relative size of The Bean - I had no idea it was so big. Your images are such a wonderful advertisement for your lovely city. :)
Super pov to show us this view of your city Taffy. There's so much detail in here to look at and enjoy. I didn't realise the city was quite so close to the lake, a bit slow on the uptake, I guess.
