Andie @ukandie1 and I thought we would be photographing the lighting of the holiday tree in Millennium Park. What we didn't expect were what felt like hundreds of thousands of people who appeared to have the same idea! So, we made the most of it ending the night at the Chicago Theater, finding a good spot (stairs to the elevated train) to take some photos from above.
Definitely best on black.
Wonderful pic!! Sounds like a fun night overall!! So many times I’ve turned around because of crowds!! Especially shooting San Frsnvidco at night around the Christmas holidays. If I can this year I’ll try to shoot in the early morning!!
A beautiful scene , great lights echoing through all the buildings looks like a fun night as hoards of people queuing for the theatre and a stream of cars streaming through ! You had a great pov for all of this ! fav
Fabulous image, awesome on black. It’s so crazy these days when there are big events in Dallas. We live over 25 miles from Downtown and parking is a huge consideration for us.
You can just feel the energy of the street in this shot. I'm glad you were able to find a "plan B"- and I think it turned out in your favor with this shot!
Perfection in composition and a wonderful story in that line of cars leading up to the show. But where are the cars going the other way? Is this a one-way street?
