My granddaughter and I decided we were up for climbing the 219 steps to the top of the St Augustine lighthouse. We had a plan to watch the sunset from far above the Old Town with views of about 40 miles in each direction. Overcoming claustrophobia, fear of heights, and stamina, we did it! But sunset did not materialize so here is a view of the steps instead.
Great shot. I've been up there a couple of times. Surprised that you didn't get a sunset up there tonight as it looked pretty good from where I was. Although, there did seem to be more clouds in your direction. Too bad the moon's not rising earlier so you could see that also.
@rickster549 Thick clouds on the horizon so we decided to head down and drive to Ft Matanzas area. It was pretty but more on the drive than once we got there.
