Paradigm Shift by taiwandaily

Paradigm Shift

About five years ago I really enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles. Not only did i have the time for them, but there was a cheap dollar store near my house that had all types of puzzles for less than three bucks. It wasn't long until I had done all the puzzles they had.

After moving to different part of the city, I forgot all about puzzles. It wasn't until recently when my Chinese textbook and I had an argument, that I yearned for the serenity of doing a puzzle. I checked out the stores around me and they were all pretty expensive. I ended up getting one and it was pretty poor quality. Thankfully a friend let me borrow one she had already done, and it was much better.

Even though I was jonesing for more puzzles, I had resigned to the fact there was just no quality assurance at any of the shops near me. But yesterday a friend told me about this shop above. It's a Taiwanese company that makes plastic puzzles (meaning instead of cardboard, they are thin but strong plastic). The best part about it is that each piece is unique. The problem with the puzzles i was doing is that each piece could fit with maybe 50 other pieces, so depending on the picture, it was sometimes impossible to tell which pieces were the actual correct ones to go together.

Also with them being plastic, they click together so it doesn't fall apart, which is why many are on the wall. I don't know if you can see, but the Eiffel Tower has a frame around it. This is a separate puzzle that is just a frame that you can put around any of their puzzles.

Another boarder you can put together is a calender. Meaning you can make a puzzle, put it on the wall, and below it have a calender that each month. Granted you must take off that part and redo it to be the correct month and days you need, but still pretty cool.

While I don't need all that extra stuff, their puzzles are pretty interesting, but of course a bit expensive. Around 20 bucks for a 500 piece puzzle and over 30 for a 1,000 piece puzzle. Thankfully my birthday is coming up.........
