This week was a typhoon week. No typhoons don't last a week, but the hype of a typhoon does. You get the notice that one is coming, and then they estimate when it will come. This causes people to be in a panic and go to the supermarkets to stock up on food and supplies. Then of course the typhoon comes earlier or later than expected and everybody is caught unprepared. Not to mention the guessing game the government takes when deciding to cancel schools/work. As they don't want people to get hurt, but they also don't want to cancel everything and it turn out to be a lovely day.
For this week the typhoon was supposed to come on thursday, but it ended up coming saturday night. The government shut everything down friday evening, and it was still a nice day most of the day friday. As you can see the wind was very brutal overnight, but at the moment everything is calm.
Although because of the size and direction of the typhoon, I can't really tell if right now is the eye, or that it's actually done bothering us. I guess I will find out soon enough as I need to go to a meeting. If later I come back soaking wet or get blown into a tree, I'll have my answer.
