Willy Wagtail by terryliv

Willy Wagtail

Willy wagtails are insect eaters and never sit/stand still for a second. Even when they fly it is all over the place and impossible to follow.
Managed this pic at golf this morning on the 6th tee with my playing partners yelling at me to hurry up and tee off.
This shot has been cropped to within an inch of its life.

Congrats Poppo on capturing a Willy Wagtail. They are sooooo fast! I have never been able to get one :)

Great shot Terry. The only time we get close up here is when i,m on the ride on and they come in for the insects but haven,t used that for months.

I have one of these whistling away in a tree beside the house right at the moment. Must be nesting time. Love the little white hooded eyebrows on this one warning you to keep your distance.

Great shot, they are hard to get, as you said, they don't stay still for long.
I also hope you had a good round.

At first I thought you were making up a name for this fellow but then I 'google' it and find it's for real. Those white brows make this bird look perpetually miffed. Or ticked. Great capture, especially considering the challenge.

It still looks great, cropped and all. I love them, they are always so cheery.

He is a neat looking bird - love the stark white tummy and eyebrows. That was quite a challenge getting this shot - hope your 6th hold went as well!

Really nice shot! They are hard to catch. I'm going to put one up later this week, but I had to wait until it was perched somewhere. All my ground shots were awful.
