Sonia and the boys were supposed to head back to HK last Friday but after battling a bug for a week, Eoin ended up in the emergency ward at Wesley hospital on Thursday night with a temp of 40.5deg. After two further visits to the Wesley (and having twice cancelled the flights) he was finally cleared to go home on Wednesday.
The bad news is that after only 3 years in HK, John has been shifted back to London They leave HK in late August. Sonia is not impressed.
So no more HK visits for us and we are back to the 27 hour flights from Brisbane to London. Bugger!!!!!!!!
This is sad seeing them go and hearing of Eoin's ordeal. It's no fun to be stuck in a plane for hours (so I imagine), but to see Australia, Hong Kong and London at all in one's life--I can only through media.
A sad moment for you and Rhoda I am sure and poor Eoin having his holiday spoilt by getting sick.
How sad too that they are going to be even further away.
What a shame the end of the holiday was spoilt for your family with Eoin being so ill!! I know it's a pain for Sonia going back to London and for you - all that distance. Just remember we can't wait to meet you when you come to the UK!!
Superb capture lovely colour, focus and depth of field Terry, pleased Eoin's recovered, sorry your family is Blighty bound those long haul flights are a pain in the bum:)
It is always so hard saying goodbye to the family when they have to leave, or vice versa. I really feel for you, especially now they will be such a long way away. Better save your pennies!
How sad too that they are going to be even further away.
