Rainbow Valley - The Last Hurrah by terryliv

Rainbow Valley - The Last Hurrah

Not all that far from Alice Springs and just when we thought sight seeing on the tour was over, John made a right turn onto a dirt track. After 25kms or so we arrived at the Rainbow Valley Reserve where the dunes meet the ranges.

It was stunning.

The area is known as Wurre to the local indigenous tribes and is an important ceremonial site.

Definitely best on black.
