About 30kms off the Gibb River Road is Bell's Creek Gorge. A bit of a trek from the parking area and we came upon a beautiful osais in the rugged landscape.
Australia is purported to be the oldest of the continents and it is when you see rock formations such as this it is easy to understand why. The rocks look so old and fragile they seem to be crumbling before your eyes.
Yes, I did go for a swim in the creek. Beautiful.
I should point out how crowded all these places we are visiting are.
Looks best on black
@terryliv I couldn't make up my mind if it was Rhoda standing with the man or if she was already in the water. I am assuming there are no crocs or snakes? or is that another of my silly questions? LOL!!
@pamknowler There are probably Freshies in here Pam but they are very timid and harmless to humans. At least that is what the manual says and you can only assume that they have read the rules. Snakes are not a problem in the water at all.
Ha ha, it definitely looks crowded. Maybe I should show this to my daughter's ex mother in law. She always used to say that Australia was getting so crowded and we didn't need any more immigrants. She has lived in Doncaster in Victoria all of her 70 years on this earth and has only left it once to go to Ballarat, so not exactly a worldly creature. Not the brightest button either.
