Day 9 - Drysdale River Station by terryliv

Day 9 - Drysdale River Station

I thought I would include this shot for the interest of O/S 365ers.
While large, Drysdale ranks only 63rd in terms of size of properties in Australia. The largest is Anna Creek, a cattle station in South Australia which is 23,677 sq km or 9,140 sq miles. It also happens to be the largest in the world.
I like the mix of metric and imperial measurements in the sign
Only one million acres. It must be a hobby farm :)

.....and someone said everything is bigger in Texas, apparently they hadn't been down under! But what's a KLM, I thought it was an airline.

Well captured Terry. When you can only run one cow to 10 acres you need a lot of land !!!!!! Very similar to here !!!!!!!!

@richardhoeg Most of the large stations are owned by pastoral companies Richard. Started out owned by individuals, then families and then pastoral companies started taking them over.

@terryliv Wow ... even if it is a company ... that is a lot of acres.
