Parish Churches - St Mary's Church, Stow Cum Quy, Cambridgeshire

It took a good bit of detective work together with the memory of doing copybook writing from my primary school days to discover that one of my G G G Grandfathers came from the village of Stow Cum Quy in Cambridgeshire, England. What a great name for a village. Unfortunately, the locals simply refer to it simply as Quy.

The church dates from 1340. Such a grand church for such a small village.

Early Edward III, whose sons' bickering snowballed into the Cousins War. I miss your parrots, but I love the project. Your churches and churchyards are too wonderful for words!

Looks almost surreal in the low light. Great job tracking down your past.

It really is quite the structure. Those that rest in peace are rather close to the walkway, aren't they.

Impressive lineage tracking and a great image that looks like you've pulled it from your GGG grandparent's archives (if they had our cameras).
