This is likely a Mockingbird nest from last year. It seems well built and secure having withstood lots of rain and high winds that we have had recently. Google says they do not "reuse" their nests.
Ah. Nice capture of the nest. I think there is one that likes the shrub at the front corner of the house next door. It flies from there to the top of his roof, to my shed or a pole in my garden squawking at the other birds.
