Lichfield canal by tinley23

Lichfield canal

A lovely walk with my sister along the restoration site of the Lichfield canal. It was built in the 1750s but was taken out of commission in the 1950s. Now they are starting the work to restore it. It was very interesting to see the work that is being done, especially with the diversions they will have to put in due to all of the building works that have taken place since it closed.
That’s good to hear Lesley….we must not let these old waterways die.
