Last week I posted a photo of the interior of Birmingham Cathedral and said I hoped that my sister and I could get a place on one of the tours which would get us up close to the Edward Burne-Jones stained glass windows which were being renovated. Luckily we got two spaces on a tour this morning. It was extremely informative and we learned loads.
As we were leaving we saw (bottom right) that one of the windows had been completed and the scaffolding was being taken down. The colours were so bright - apologies but my quick snap as we were climbing down at the other end of the building doesn’t do it any justice.
What a great collage of our tour. I’m so glad you got a sharp image of the flowers on the robe top right as we would never be able to see them normally from ground level.
How wonderful that you and your sister got two spots on one of the tours! This is a great collage, Lesley! So fascinating to see the work in progress! And what a beautiful result so far! Fav
