In an ideal world it would just be the two silhouetted people, but I had neither the time to wait for just the right shot, nor the editing skills to get rid of the people to the left, but I still really liked this shot! It is not the first time I have shot here ( http://365project.org/ukandie1/extras/2014-11-23 ) I hope the third time I will get the image that I have in my mind.
I know it is a cliche, but this is better viewed on the black!
Now that I look at it again it is not so much the people to the left that I find a distraction but rather the people in front of the silhouetted figures to be really distracting.
@vstap Thank you, I like your observation, it is something I had not thought of. I do find it interesting how images can be perceived in different ways. That is why although this project started as a whim it has become a passion.
This is a great place... no wonder you are staking this location out. Lovely silhouettes, textures and light. Isn't it funny how one sees distractions in the shot that we never noticed while shooting? The person on the left is not at all distracting, but the ones in front of your subjects inject some visual confusion. Nevertheless, a very nice shot.
Well I like it. And I probably wouldn't have to wait and I don't have the skills. But you do have the eye to know what you want to do. I think that is less easy taught than the skills of removing or having the time to wait. Love your street shots.
There is nothing wrong with this! I love it! The people add depth, even the ones infront. I would leave it like this. Just to have 2 people walking can give a very sinister feel. whereas this shows life and movement
