The latest addition to downtown Chicago is the Maggie Daley Park which opened just before Christmas. It is just east of Millennium Park. This is the new skating ribbon, just one small part of the park.
Thank you so much for all of your comments the past few days. I will catch up with everyone tomorrow.
I haven't seen the park yet. (I was there just days before it opened.) It's supposed to be really fabulous. Now I have another excuse to make a trip into Chicago! :) Thanks for the preview!
@voiceprintz It looks a bit barren at the moment needless to say, but you can see how nice it is going to be once the trees mature. I can imagine it is going to be a huge hit year round, and finally the bridge to nowhere has somewhere to go!
@ukandie1 I'll be in Chicago this weekend but won't have a chance to get to the south loop to check it out. The boy and I have a field trip to that area planned soon. Perhaps he and I will have a chance to explore it a bit. Doesn't it just figure that it would take a decade for the bridge to nowhere to go somewhere? pppfffftttttt...it's Chicago!
It does look like a Christmas card! Love the POV
