This is one of my favorites from last year!

@julieco Hi Julie! The bokeh is basically out of focus light. It takes the shape of the aperture of your lens. Shaped bokeh is created by covering the lens with a disc that has a shape cut into it. If your lens have big aperture, then you get lot of blur in the out of focus area. Then you need some reflective/light spots that will appear as a bokeh. In my grass shot for example the bokeh was created by other droplets reflecting sun light. In case of the colander I put flashlights in it and the small dots of light when out of focus created the bokeh (I used a disk with a star shaped hole I cut out from black craft paper). The key is out of focus light. Works well with Christmas lights, car lights, sun through the trees etc. Just try and have fun!
