What is Black & White Fortnight? It is a challenge for black and white photography. Each fortnight a new theme is chosen for the fortnight and you can take as many images on the theme as you like. This fortnight will run from Monday 2nd June till Sunday 15th June.
The theme this time is WATER. Why water? Well water is around us everywhere. Its at the sea, canals, lakes, rivers.... Don't live near our vast spaces of water? It's still near you, in your bath, the dogs water bowl, the cup of water you just drank... So this fortnight the challenge is capture images with water. Same as last fortnight if this fortnights theme isn't for you please do have a look next time, the themes will be varied in the hope to inspire, challenge and get us thinking and photographing the world around us.

@dibzgreasley oh...... Hadn't seen that. Must confess I chose this theme partly as well knowing I'd have seaside shots to process! Must look up his tags.
@newbank Great theme, thanks for organising this. I was daunted by the challenge of finding something to photograph EVERY day but with the constant inspiration you and others provide by doing theme threads, I think my year is going to fly by!
@swilde will tag you. It is one of the quirks of 365 that it is constantly active with people in different zones. I do appreciate some people may have moved onto Monday when they see next post but my main 365 time is in the evenings in the UK. I can change to a Saturday if this is a problem for people?
@newbank Just post the new challenge the day before the first one runs out...your time...as a heads up that it will start on the Monday. So if you post the new challenge on Saturday night (your time) to commence on Monday (anyone's time) it will work.
So … I haven't really been a follower of themes and competitions thus far, and I am way behind in my posts (like a week). Can I post something I took a few days ago (and haven't posted yet) for this theme?? Process it in b&w for this theme etc because I wouldn't have otherwise??
Although i'm in my second year of the project, I haven't done one of these before and I'm not sure what "being tagged in" means. It it something that has to happen before i can participate? Can I just post a picture to my album in the usual way and include the tag for this? Sorry to be so clueless, but I like photographing water in its many manifestations, so would enjoy having a try at this. Thanks.
@tristansmum Stepanie, in this case I think you refer to "tagged" being just a list of previous participants, to enter just add a picture or pictures to your album and add "bw-fn-2" to the tag text box of the specific photos. They will then be seen by whoever is administering any challenge. You can of course link to it by entering a reply here, as Daisy as done above :), but you do't have to.
