As it's half term and several of our clients have children young enough to want to spend time with them I managed to drag Nigel away from the office for a couple of hours at lunchtime. And once I've found a good walk I do it to death so it was off to Ickworth again. It was a cunning plan to take Nigel as he could manage the dog pulling in all different directions (NOT off lead after the close shave with the sheep) while I took some pics. With the strong lighting I wasn't sure what I was taking really but in fact I did have a few I liked when I got home. These little hawthorn leaves were very pretty - hope everybody isn't completely bored with leaves by now!!
Once again huge thanks for the faberoony response to my photos this week - I feel I've been really lucky with the shots this week and actually like them all - I hope I haven't just jinxed myself...
Superb photo. The thumbnail doesn't do it justice, and I almost didn't click on it! But when I did - wow! It works really well. The direct light in the middle leaf, the shadows in the bottom one and the subtle way that the light catches the edges of the leaf in the top left make this a photo full of interest.
