A busy day today. Got out early to the park with Monty before taking Adam off to hockey. Stayed for half an hour before heading up the A14 to see Nigel presented with his 3rd Dan blackbelt. Back home and I'm about to bake biscuits for Rachel to take back up North before going out to celebrate Nigel's achievements tonight. The wind is absolutely freezing - it's a North westerly so I suppose it's coming from Greenland and Iceland and I'm still waiting for my legs to de-frost.
Three good things:
1. 4-1 hockey win versus our local rivals.
2. A talented husband
3. Swans who always look elegant. This one has 'angel wing' - you can see it bottom right - which is why we shouldn't feed the swans bread!
PS does anybody know if you can lubricate a lens - it grates a bit when I zoom in and out.
Lovely close-up, and nice pink shimmers on the water. Well done to Nigel, good luck with the biscuits and I didn't know about the bread. Apparently lubricating a lens is not for the amateur.
A successful and chilly day then!! A most elegant looking swan.they are wonderfully photogenic and you have caught him beautifully! No idea about your lens, don't think my save all WD40 would be quite the thing!!
Lovely tones in this shot. Beautifully relaxing. Yes the wind was cold today, colder than I have been for the last couple of months! Pop to the camera shop opposite Kings. Dont think it is a Jessups.
Lovely shot Judith. They are magnificent creatures. A real shame about the Angel wing. I read a little about this recently. I had no idea that we shouldn't be feeding ducks and swans with bread. I was brought up doing just that.
judith, the colours of the water are lovely ...nice blues and turquoises.
Thanks for the comments on my collage. You take some brilliant pics, so you should try and raise your profile. You only have to see the respect you've earned on 365 to know that you are good :) ...Go for it :)

Well done to Nigel too.
