Shard of Light by judithg

Shard of Light

Just realised that I haven't posted for today with all the excitement of yesterday! Juliette walked us back by the Armadillo building (which looks positively tiny after all the sky scrapers going up in The City) and they have done lots of 'upgrading' for Olympic year since I was last there. The 'Rill' of water and lots of little fountains in the dark slate were fun and the buildings here seem to have been designed deliberately to make a viewpoint for the Shard.
Three good things:
1. A glorious morning and lovely evening (a bit cloudy in between).
2. Spare photos 'in the bag'.
3. Nice to see London looking so lovely.
love it!!! fav

I agree I think the powers that be in London have really thought out the ''end'' picture as regards to scale, contrast of shapes & wonderful images as in your photo Judith. Weird feeling seeing this when i was there when you took it!! You caught this beautifully Judith.

Lovely street shot. We have tickets to go up the Shard but we're waiting for a clear day, when we haven't got anything else on! Pretty unlikely!

Great pic and light, despite living in London, I don't often travel through it as I work from home and would always involve catching buses and trains, so its nice to see it through other people eyes.
