Picnic

I'm a little disappointed with this because I actually have two lovely shots of the whole family (3 generations) - really sharp given that I was grabbing them quickly but it felt like too much of an invasion of privacy to post them. Should any of my local followers/spies recognise them I will be happy to provide the pics. I couldn't let that bike go entirely though....
Three good things:
1. A glorious spring day.
2. Lots of action on the river including a regatta.
3. The starlings have fledged - which means my suet is being demolished at a rate of knots but I know starling numbers have declined massively so they need some babies.
Gorgeous summery bicycle pic.

Love how you captured this and the processing.

Very good shot. You managed to capture the essence of the outing without risking offending your family.

Brilliant bike! and a great way of ticking the no publicity box for the family.

That bike is truly beautiful Judith...a work of art in itself & a worthy centre stage!!
Difficult decisions when you have private occasions & where to draw the line but you have bridged the gap perfectly!!
It's costing us a fortune to feed the birds, plus the squirrel but all worth it....they eat so much!!!

A beautiful shot and the bike seems to be posing and smiling for you!

Lovely summery riverside bike. When I'm old I'm not going to wear purple but I AM going to have a bike basket covered in plastic flowers.

Love how you have focused on just the bicycle basket. I'm wondering if you shot it that way or achieved that look in post processing?

@barbsmith Hi Barb - thanks for all your great comments. The focus was isolated on the bike from top to bottom but then I also blurred out the people post processing.

Thanks, Judith. Hope your rain has let up some. I'm currently sitting through a thunderstorm - again! There is just no where for the water to go. I had to wade through puddles to get the groceries from the car this afternoon.

@barbsmith I think tomorrow should be drier & warmer - we'll see! I've had to turn the heating back on. And it's right across Europe & with you folks as well - somewhere must be dry!!
