I took loads of shots of bits of tree at the Gogs today and had a good practice with manual settings. Luckily I had just taken a useless shot of the kite popping out above the hill so I had my exposure set right when the boy came running over the top. He was very determined and it struck me as a great way of tiring out young things - wonder if I can get a kite for Monty...
Lots of Easter weekend DIY today - very noisy deck sanding from Nigel (good job the day was cold and neighbours were not snoozing in gardens) and I finished painting the arbour which is probably coated in dust from the deck - I daren't look.
Still the decking has been stained and looks very smart. More noise tomorrow as our tree is coming down.
3 Good things:
1. Two pics in the TT - a bonanza week with one in the theme final as well - it's been a long time and thank you all for being so lovely about my photos to put them there.
2. The peach trees I bought on a Groupon offer are a decent size - end of the 'bare root' season I expect.
3. I'm on a 'fast' diet day having put all the weight back from the last effort - only two hours till I can eat more than a cracker...
Strange how spring makes us all restless and industrious - or maybe it's not. Nice slightly impressionistic shot. (Have a little cheese with your cracker!)
HOW is a fast diet day a good thing?! Double TT? I am so desperately behind with everything that I fear I played no part in that, but will go back and admire after the event!

Up to the highest height!
Let's go fly a kite and send it soaring
Up through the atmosphere
Up where the air is clear
Oh, let's go fly a kite!
They don't write 'em like that any more Judith.
I'm spotting a little trend of 365 titles named after Mary Poppins songs, Myrna @sailingmusic did one yesterday
